Make a payment

We accept payments either online or by telephone for the following items:

• Council Tax
• Business Rates
• Housing Benefits Overpayments
• Parking Fines
• Sundry Invoices

We accept payments by the following cards, however there is a 1.45% charge for using a credit card. There is no charge for using a debit card.

We do not accept American Express or Diners cards.

Please note that the online and telephone payment systems are not available between 16:15 and 17:00 Monday to Friday.

Payments received before 16:15 will be processed the same day; those received after 16:45 will be processed the following day.

We use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology, a standard supported by most major Internet browsers. All of your personal and card details are protected using 128-bit encryption, when transmitted over the Internet.

Data Protection

Delivering Council services electronically is part of the modernising government agenda. The Data Protection Act 1998 ensures the protection and care of personal information. This means that information you give us electronically will only be used for the purpose you intended.
