Building control regulations
Information on Building Control Regulations and where to find them.
- The requirements of the Building Regulations are written in a functional format, e.g. "walls, floors and roofs are to adequately resist the penetration of moisture".
- These regulations are supported by a series of Approved Documents that give more detailed information as to how to comply with these requirements.
- The Approved Documents are not supposed to be prescriptive and there are other ways in which compliance can be achieved.
