The Council has made some changes to the Bushey High Street Conservation Area boundary and the ways in which the area is managed. These changes are the result of a recent assessment of the Conservation Area.
Section 69 of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990 gives local Councils the power to designate as Conservation Areas, areas of special architectural or historic interest, the character or appearance of which it is desirable to preserve or enhance.

TPOs prohibits the cutting down, uprooting, topping, lopping, wilful damage or wilful destruction of trees without the Local Authorities consent.
