This section aims to provide you with the latest information on the Government's requirement for local authorities to identify land on which to facilitate sufficient pitches for Gypsies and Travellers.

A series of public meetings were held by the council in 2007 to give residents information on our responsibilities at that time to identify site(s) for Travellers and Gypsies.
Below details the information discussed at that time.
In 2006 six local authorities within Hertfordshire commissioned independent research to identify potential areas for pitches across south and west Hertfordshire.
