Core Strategy Development Plan Document
Hertsmere Borough Council has to put together a plan of what development there should be, and where, in the borough until 2021.
The Core Strategy sets out the overall vision for the Borough for the next 15 years with policies for a number of key areas including housing, the environment, employment, transport and retail.
On 5th January 2010 under Section 22 (2) (b) of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act (2004) the Council received a formal direction from the Secretary of State to withdraw its Core Strategy after the independent Planning Inspector raised concerns.
