Are there existing cycle routes that could be improved or new routes that you would like to see? Are there roads that are hard to cross with your horse or areas that you can’t ride safely? Are there shared routes that as a walker you feel could be improved? What would make it easier for you to cycle, walk or ride your horse?
If you have answers to any of these questions come along to one of our drop-in sessions in July and we will incorporate your ideas into a revised version of the Watling Chase Greenways Strategy.
Greenways are routes for shared use by walkers, cyclists and horse riders and are intended to link people to facilities and open spaces in and around towns and out into the countryside. The 10-year strategy was produced five years ago to provide a 104km network of Greenways across the borough and needs updating.
Please come along and have your say any time between 5pm and 7.15pm at any of the following locations:
- Shenley - Shenley Village Hall on Wednesday 18th July
- Borehamwood - Maxwell Park Community Centre on Thursday 19th July
- Bushey - St James Church House, on Tuesday 24th July
- Potters Bar - Margaret Hall, King Charles the Martyr Church on Wednesday 25th July
- Radlett - The Radlett Centre on Thursday 26th July
There will be a chance to see examples of what has been achieved so far and where new routes are planned.
If you need further information or would like a copy of the current strategy ahead of the sessions please contact Liz Drake on 020 8207 7566 or email liz.drake@hertsmere.gov.uk
