What do you think of the conservation of Radlett?

The council is carrying out a formal appraisal of the Radlett Conservation Area and is keen to hear from local residents and organisations.

Conservation Area Appraisals are intended to provide an overview of the history and development of an area, identify defining features which contribute towards its character and make recommendations for the future, including any changes to the Conservation Area boundary . The appraisal will be undertaken in accordance with the latest guidance from English Heritage and will also help to support future planning decisions made in the area.
The area under review is located in and around the centre of Radlett, covering sections of Watling Street and an area from The Grove down to Scrubbitts Wood.
The work is being undertaken jointly with BEAMS Ltd, the trading arm of the Hertfordshire Building Preservation Trust. Local organisations and businesses are being consulted and we are keen to hear from local residents on what features they consider are important to the character of the area and any positive or negative features which merit particular attention.
