New station forecourt for Potters Bar

The bus forecourt at Potters Bar train station was officially opened by local dignitaries this week, following the completion of improvement works.

The work was completed five weeks ahead of schedule and aims to make peoples' transition from bus to train easier. Works included improvements to kerbside access for bus users, regulated parking facilities and improvements to the visual amenity of the area.
The project was funded by Hertfordshire County Council, the Department for Transport and Hertsmere Borough Council
Mayor Cllr Sandra Parnell said: "It gives me great pleasure to re-open the station forecourt.
"Potters Bar has fantastic transport links and serves many commuters, so I know the improvements will benefit lots of people."
She also paid tribute to the victims of the Potters Bar rail crash which happened six years ago.
