Hertsmere Borough Council will investigate empty and abandoned vehicles and remove them if necessary. If there is an abandoned car, motorbike or van in your area, please fill in this online form.

Retrieving an abandoned vehicle

If your vehicle has been removed by Hertsmere Borough Council you can arrange to retrieve it by contacting us. On receipt of your notification, we will advise you of the costs involved and issue a release note.

Untaxed vehicles

Untaxed vehicles can be reported online through the DVLA website. Alternatively you can call their Vehicle Customer Enquiry line on 0300 790 6802
