Grass cutting

Hertsmere Borough Council maintains grass areas including parks, open spaces and Highways.

Not every such area is owned by Hertsmere Borough Council, in such cases, issues other than grass cutting should be directed to the relevant landowner.

Highway verges are cut to ensure that people can use roads and pavements safely. Although environmental issues are of paramount concern, grass cutting is actually carried out for highway safety reasons rather than environmental purposes. This frequency is determined by Hertfordshire County Council.
