Children and young people

  • Hertfordshire Mind Network offers emotional and wellbeing support to young people in Hertfordshire through the With Youth service.
  • Kooth is a mental health and wellbeing platform for children and young people aged 11 to 24. It offers an online community of peers and access to accredited counsellors.
  • CAMHS offers emergency and non-emergency support for children, young people, parents and carers.
  • Samaritans provide support for people of all ages who are struggling to cope. If you are in emotional distress or having thoughts of suicide, call the free Samaritans helpline on 116 123.
  • Hertfordshire County Council Services for Young People provides a range of support for improving your physical, mental and emotional health.
  • Services for Young People runs a number of projects in Hertsmere for young people aged 11 to 16. The projects for young people aim to improve wellbeing, promote positive life choices and help young people achieve their goals.

Parents and Families

 

  • The DSPL partnership supports families, children and young people, aiming to increase attainment and wellbeing and remove barriers to learning.
  • Home Start Watford, Three Rivers and Hertsmere can provide support if you are feeling exhausted and overwhelmed by the stresses of family life.
  • Families First help families that have a child under 18 (or under 25 if the child has a learning disability).
  • The Hertfordshire Family Centre Service provides a range of services for families and children, including help finding childcare, antenatal classes and support with parenting.
  • The Neurodiversity Support Hub is open Monday - Friday, 9am - 1pm. The Hub is staffed by experts by experience, they can answer any questions to do with Neurodiversity, however big or small, or just be a listening ear. Please note, no diagnosis is required to access the support and the helpline is open to parents, carers and professionals.
