Green waste collections

Last Modified April 14, 2022

We are currently experiencing difficulties with our green waste collections. If your bin is not collected please leave your uncollected bin out next week and our waste and recycling crews will try to collect missed bins from Tuesday (19 April) onward.

Our waste crews are working incredibly hard to maintain our normal waste and recycling collections but several issues outside our direct control are putting extreme pressure on our service, which means we have not always been able to collect every bin on the scheduled collection day.

Our residents have been very supportive of our staff, who are working under great pressure, and we thank you for your continued understanding. Our message is to please bear with us if we are unable to collect your waste and recycling on the scheduled day.

If we are unable to collect your missed green bin next week, please take it back in and wait until your next scheduled collection the week starting 25 April. We know that Easter is traditionally a time of year when residents start to get out in their gardens. If you have excess green waste you can take it to your local recycling centre at Allum Lane in Elstree or Cranborne Road in Potters Bar.

We will keep you updated via our social media channels.
