Landlords in Hertsmere will be able to learn more about loan sharks and the private sector initiatives at a landlords forum to be held at the end of this month.
Speakers, including the council’s Housing Strategy Manager Emily Dillon and Yvonne Bartlett, from Trading Standards, will talk about the private sector and loan sharks respectively at the event at Civic Offices on 29 January, starting at 6.30pm.
Barry Potts, the council’s Housing Initiatives Lead, will talk about the importance of working together to provide rented accommodation. There will also be networking time to talk to council officers from the housing department and other landlords.
Councillor Jean Heywood, Portfolio Holder for Housing, said: “These forums are an invaluable source of information for landlords who need to find out more about legal changes and how they could be affected”.
“It is important to keep up-to-date with these changes, while the forum provides an opportunity to meet other landlords and learn more about best practice so I would encourage anyone who lets property to attend.”
Refreshments, including tea, coffee and other drinks, will be provided at the event.
