48 hour social media boycott from 9am today
Last Modified July 27, 2020
Hertsmere Borough Council shares in the widespread abhorrence at the anti-Semitic content that was posted on Twitter and Instagram in recent days and joins with the calls on these social media platforms to explain what appears to be a woeful lack of speed in confronting this matter.
The council whole-heartedly supports the 48-hour boycott and will be taking part ourselves, unless a significant issue affecting our services, our borough or public health arises during that time period.
That means we will be unable to answer any questions raised by our social media users during this 48-hour period and we remind you of the other ways of contacting us. You can email our Customer Service Team on email@example.com or call 020 8207 2277.
Elected members and officers at Hertsmere Borough Council stand together with our communities across Hertsmere against all forms of hate, racism, intolerance and abuse.
