Free activity sessions are up for grabs to anyone who completes an online questionnaire, part of the anniversary celebrations for Hertsmere’s award-winning We Move, She Moves programme.
Since 2014, more than 3,500 women and girls aged 14 or over who live and work in the borough, have taken part in an amazing range of activities and sport sessions, from boxercise and yoga, to Rugby and Hula hooping, for as little as a few pounds per session. Now the programme is celebrating its third year anniversary by asking for the public’s thoughts and views on how We Move, She Moves should develop and expand in the future.
Participants who complete the survey could also be in with a chance of winning vouchers for 10 free We Move, She Moves sessions, plus a branded T-shirt, hoodie and water bottle.
Charlotte Stanton, Community Sports Officer said: “We Move, She Moves provides the perfect environment to get active, whether you’re somebody looking to get back into shape or whether you just want to try something new. It offers a fun, friendly atmosphere to try a whole range of sports and activities.
“Now we’re entering our fourth year, this is the ideal opportunity to take stock and consider the next steps for this innovative project – and that’s where you come in.
“Whether you’ve done a We Move, She Moves class before, or not, we’re keen to hear your views, and in the process, you could win some of our striking merchandise and vouchers.”
In addition, new banners featuring real-life We Move, She Moves success stories are currently on display on council waste vehicles. Featured are 86-year-old grandmother Edna Jones, who has made headlines for her inspirational active lifestyle and community sports and health intern and Hertsmere News cover girl Courtenay Moseley.
To take part in the survey here. It takes just five to 10 minutes to complete. Respondents have until 5pm on Friday 5 May to make their views heard. A winner will be selected at random and notified by email after that date.
