Best foot forward for health walk record

Last Modified May 15, 2019

Sign up to one of three health walks taking place in Hertsmere next week and help break a county record.

Hertfordshire County Council is inviting people to join in with its fourth annual mass health walk on Monday (13 May) and help make it the most successful yet..

There are around 30 walks taking place across the county and Hertsmere Borough Council's award-winning parks are among the highlights. Walkers are asked to meet at the King George Recreation Ground’s café in Bushey at 10.30am; inside the train station in Darkes Lane at Potters Bar at 10.30am or at Oakmere Park’s car park in Potter Bar at 11am. The last walk is suitable for wheelchairs and buggies.

In 2017, 620 walkers took part and 815 last year.  The aim is to get over 1000 people to take part this year.

Walks range from 30 to 90 minutes in duration.  The walks are free and led by trained volunteers.
