There’s a further opportunity for residents and interested parties to comment on the latest draft of Aldenham Parish Council’s Radlett Neighbourhood Plan before it is submitted for public examination.
This period of engagement will begin on 12 November for a six-week period and it is being run by Hertsmere Borough Council which has a regulatory role in publishing the plan ahead of a public examination led by an independent examiner.
During the six week period, the community will be able to have their say on what sort of development is encouraged, supported and expected in the area. Following the examination, the plan will be subject to a local referendum and if supported by the local community, will be used by Hertsmere Borough Council in the determination of planning applications in Radlett.
Councillor Dr Harvey Cohen, Portfolio Holder for Planning and Localism, said: “The council is committed to supporting the neighbourhood planning process. A considerable amount of work has gone into preparing the Radlett Plan and I welcome the constructive engagement which Aldenham Parish Council has had with the local community and ourselves, as Local Planning Authority.
“The publication of the plan provides residents with another opportunity to have their say on how their area develops over the coming years ahead of its public examination next year.
“A considerable amount of work has gone into preparing the Radlett Plan by Aldenham Parish Council and their Steering group.”
The plan can be viewed from 7 November by visiting https://hertsmere-consult.objective.co.uk/portal/pp/radlett_plan/radlettreg16. However, comments can not be made until the portal goes live on 12 November.

Paper copies of the plan will also be available from the Civic Offices in Borehamwood, Aldenham Parish Council offices and Radlett library.
All responses received will be forwarded to the independent examiner whose appointment will be agreed with Aldenham Parish Council.
