Inspection of work in progress

Last Modified October 19, 2015

You have a legal duty to inform us when work starts and when certain vital stages are ready for inspection.

In order to ensure the proposed work is carried out to correct building standards, and comply with Building Regulations, inspection of building works in progress are carried out by building control officers at several stages in the construction process.

For further information on inspections see the Work in Progress section of the Guide to extending or altering your home page.
