Proposed new parking schemes

Last Modified April 28, 2016

Parking Management Strategy

Our Parking Management Strategy is a document agreed by councillors as a guide for councillors and officers when considering new parking controls or amendments to existing parking controls.

We consider a number of new parking schemes each year in line with guidance from our Parking Management Strategy. You can see what new schemes are currently proposed in this section.

Formal notices of the proposed parking schemes are advertised in local newspapers and on lamp posts in the streets concerned, as well as being available below.

You are welcome to comment on any of the proposals during the dates shown on each of the notices below.

Documents giving more detailed information of each order can also be inspected at the Civic Offices in Borehamwood. If you have a general enquiry relating to any of the proposals, contact parking.policy@hertsmere.gov.uk or telephone 020 8207 2277.

ELMFIELD ROAD OAKROYD AVENUE AND ZONE M PARKING CONSULTATIONS

The Portfolio Holder for Environment and Transport, Councillor Jean Heywood  has carefully considered all objections received in response to parking consultations carried out in Elmfield Road, Oakroyd Avenue and roads within controlled parking zone M in Potters Bar in June 2015. Cllr Heywood has given authorisation for officers to proceed with the making of the Traffic Regulation Orders with subsequent implementation of all the parking proposals except:

  1. Waiting Restrictions for Elmfield Road and Oakroyd Avenue are to operate from Mondays to  Fridays and not Saturdays as proposed.
  2. The proposed unrestricted parking bay for Elmroyd Avenue is to be installed at approximately 15 metres southwest of its Junction with Baker Street and not 10 metres as proposed
  3. No unrestricted parking place is to be provided outside property number 67/69 Baker Street.

The reasons behind the Portfolio Holders decision can be found in the officers report attached. Copies of the made Traffic Regulation Orders are also attached.
