WHAT TO DO?

This page provides information to members of the public who may come across children or adults at risk. If you see signs of neglect, domestic abuse, child abuse, modern slavery etc.

How should you act?

  • Urgent? Police 999
  • Adult safeguarding 0300 123 4042
  • Children’s safeguarding 0300 123 4043

 

Do you suspect modern slavery or human trafficking?

  • Urgent? Police 999, or 101 if non-urgent
  • General Advice, modern slavery helpline 0800 0121 700
  • Report anonymously, call Crimestoppers 0800 555 111
  • Child involved? Call NSPCC 0808 800 5000

 

Do you suspect extremism?

Telephone confidential anti-terrorist hotline 0800 789 321
