Easter Recycling Guide
Wondering what to do with all that Easter waste? Here's a quick and easy guide:
Easter egg packaging
- Boxes: Most are now cardboard - pop them straight into your brown bin.
- Foil: Scrunch it into a ball (the bigger the better!) and place it in your brown bin.
Chocolate leftovers
- Let's be honest . . . does chocolate ever go to waste?
- But if it does any leftover treats can go in your silver food bin.
Greetings cards
Plain cards (no foil or glitter) can be recycled in your brown bin.
Flowers & Decorations
- Real flowers (no ribbon or bands) - green bin.
- Decorations: Save them for next year if you can! If not, they'll usually go in your black bin unless they're made from cardboard or plain paper.
Got extra waste?
If you have more waste or recycling that usual:
- Take it to your local Recycling Centre (tip)
- Please don't leave extra waste next to your bins - it won't be collected.
