Community Infrastructure Levy Grant for the development of the Elstree Film Studios Immersive Experience

Hertsmere Borough Council agreed £2 million of Community Infrastructure Levy Grant for the development of the Elstree Film Studios Immersive Experience, paving the way for a new attraction that celebrates the area’s rich film and television heritage.

Cllr Jeremy Newmark, Leader of the Council said:

“The recommendation to allocate the funding from the Community Infrastructure Levy was approved at Council taking into recognition the wide-ranging benefits this project will bring to Hertsmere.

“The immersive experience will bring substantial benefits to our residents and businesses — boosting the visitor economy by supporting screen tourism and creating new pathways into skills and employment. It reinforces Hertsmere’s position as a global centre for storytelling and screen production. We are proud to back an initiative that will deliver such immense cultural, educational and economic value both now and for future generations.”
