Planned improvements are taking place in Newberries Car Park in Radlett, which will include the installation of new Electric Vehicle (EV) charging bays and a full resurfacing of the car park. Hertsmere Borough Council have invested in the enhancement of the car park to create better user experience, provide EV bays and enhance security by upgrading CCTV and signage.
The EV charging bay installation works are scheduled to commence during the week beginning 3 August 2026. This will be followed by car park resurfacing works, currently programmed to start in early September 2026.
Whilst every effort will be made to minimise inconvenience, these works are likely to result in some disruption for car park users, including a reduction in the number of available parking spaces throughout the construction period.
Appropriate traffic management measures will be implemented to maintain safe access and help keep user impact to a minimum. Advance notices will also be displayed in the car park to inform users of the planned works.
