Electors in the Brookmeadow ward of Borehamwood have had their say on who should next represent them, on Hertsmere Borough Council and also on Elstree and Borehamwood Town Council. These by-elections followed the sad news of the death of former Cllr Rabbi Alan Plancey.
The results of Hertsmere Borough Council’s by-election have been announced.
The turnout for the election was 24.8 per cent. The results are as follows:
Madalyn Bielfeld – Green Party – 37 votes
Glenn Briski – Conservative Party – 478 votes
Gus Channer – Reform UK - 394 votes
Rosalind Carmel Levine – Liberal Democrat – 47 votes
Bala Mere – Labour Party – 295 votes
Lawrence Stack – Independent – 26 votes
Michelle Vince – Independent – 339 votes
Glenn Briski (Conservative Party) has been duly elected as councillor for the Borehamwood Brookmeadow ward on Hertsmere Borough Council.
The results of Elstree and Borehamwood Town Council's by-election have been announced.
The turnout for the election was 25.6 per cent. The results are as follows:
John Cartledge - Labour Party - 256 votes
Hayley Freedman - Reform UK - 354 votes
Simon Rubner - Conservative Party - 423 votes
Lawrence Stack - Independent - 31 votes
Michelle Vince - Independent - 304 votes
Simon Rubner (Conservative Party) has been duly elected as councillor for the Borehamwood Brookmeadow Town ward on Elstree and Borehamwood Town Council.
The results were announced by Returning Officer, Sajida Bijle, at the count in the Civic Offices, Elstree Way, Borehamwood this evening (Thursday 24 July).
