Electric vehicles are becoming increasingly common and we need to support those drivers, as well as encourage motorists to swap to ultra-low emission vehicles, which will benefit the environment.
The charging points installed in our council-owned car parks are ‘open charge points’. The points don’t require membership or RFID cards.
The pod point chargers in the Civic car park can can be accessed via the supplier’s intuitive app.
Our NEW E.on chargers in car parks stated below require no app or membership and can simply be used by tapping your card on the payment terminal.

Charging bays
Vehicles in the charging bay must be charging at the time of parking and display a valid parking ticket for the entire duration.
Vehicles parked in a charging bay without using the charging point, even with a valid ticket, will be at risk of being served with a Penalty Charge Notice. Once your vehicle is charged, please move off the charging bay so that others may use it.
