Nominations for the Mayor of Hertsmere's Civic Awards opened on 1 January 2026.
If you know a local hero who should be recognised for their work in our communities please take the time to make a submission for them to be considered for a Civic Award.
The Categories are:
The Dave Rankin Award (Over 18)
Outstanding contribution to improving community safety across the Borough.
Civic Award (Over 18)
Work undertaken for the benefit of the residents of the Borough.
Youth Civic Award (Under 18)
Work undertaken for the benefit of the residents of the Borough.

Last year's 2024/25 Civic Award Winners
Inspiring heroes have been recognised for their devotion and positive contributions to the local community at the Mayor of Hertsmere's Civic Award Ceremony.
The annual awards recognised the outstanding performance, activities and dedication of people and groups living and working in our local communities, who voluntarily give their time to improve the lives of Hertsmere residents.
The winners were:

- Festival team Bushey
- Cheryl Eldridge
- Janice Neal
- John Byrne
- Michelle Gersh
- Community Security Trust
The ceremony took place on Sunday 27 April at the DoubleTree by Hilton London Elstree.
