An election is due to be held in the South Mimms ward on Tuesday 20 January 2026. The election will be to duly elect a member to the South Mimms and Ridge Parish Council within the South Mimms ward.
Important Information for Electors
You must be on the electoral register, within the eligible electoral area, in order to vote. If you've recently moved, it's important that you register at your new address. Visit the Government website to register to vote. Voters are required to show Photo ID when voting at a polling station. Please see our Voter ID page for more information.

If you are interested in standing as a Candidate for this election, you must submit a nomination paper by delivering it to the offices. We have compiled all the relevant documents you may need which can be accessed below.

The nomination period will run from Wednesday 10 December through to Friday 19 December. Candidate papers can be submitted from 10am till 4pm on any working day within these dates.
If a Candidate wishes for their nomination papers to be checked informally, they must book an appointment by emailing elections@hertsmere.gov.uk.
