2020 February By-Election Borehamwood Kenilworth Ward

On Thursday 13 February 2020 a by-election was held for the election of ONE member to the Borehamwood Kenilworth Ward area of Hertsmere Borough Council. This was for a member to serve the remaining term of office to May 2023 and the next regular elections. This was done using the first past the post system.

The count took place at Hertsmere Borough Council, Civic Offices, Elstree Way, Borehamwood, and was attended by nominees from the political parties.

Where do I vote?

You should receive a polling card which will tell you where to vote.  You do not need it to vote.

The polling stations will be open from 7am to 10pm on the day of the election.

  • Postal vote applications and changes deadline is 5pm on Wednesday 29 January 2020..
  • Proxy vote applications and deadline is 5pm on Wednesday 5 February 2020.

Please ensure that where possible you make any requests well in advance.  There are limited situations where you may be eligible to apply for a late proxy after the deadline, please contact the Elections team for more information.

Nominations for the by-election opened on Wednesday 8 January 2020 and closed at 4pm on Friday 17 January 2020.
