The Venue's grand re-opening

Last Modified October 04, 2022

A fully refurbished, state of the art gym at The Venue was officially opened to members and the local community on Saturday (1 October).

Mayor Councillor John Graham cut the ribbon to open the new facility in Borehamwood, where The Venue’s fitness team were on hand to show people around.

The project has included new flooring, decoration, air conditioning and a range of new equipment, including cardio machines, dual use resistance machines, a free weights area and a boxing functional area.

Cllr John Graham said: “I am delighted to open this excellent facility which no doubt is so important for the health and wellbeing of local residents, and has been greatly missed whilst undergoing refurbishment.

“Staying active is key to living a healthy lifestyle and with over 100 stations at this gym, there really is something for everyone.”

Barry Ellis, Regional Manager for InspireAll, said: “Thank you to all staff and customers who joined us to reopen the gym after its refurbishment. Feedback has been fantastic and everyone seems to be making the most of the new kit.  Box-12 has been very popular as a great new concept alongside the rest of the most modern kit.

“We are very proud to offer the best gym in the area to everyone in the community, alongside a great swimming pool, fitness classes, soft play and eGym.  The new air-conditioning is a great improvement and the launch of Costa to the Cafe at The Venue adds more for our visitors to enjoy.”

The Venue is a registered charity established to provide and promote community sport, recreational and arts services managed by InspireAll and owned by us.
